Airline Industry Information, May 18, 2007

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

The new Multi-Hop Flight Search service has been introduced by SkyScanner, a European travel site, aimed at providing quick, easy and comprehensive access to a worldwide network of low-cost flights.

SkyScanner, which is based at http://www.skyscanner.net, said the service gives travellers in the UK access to more than 4,850 indirect and 1,005 direct routes to 69 worldwide destinations through low-cost airlines. Users enter a departure point and final destination and the search service will combine a series of budget flights to determine the least expensive route, displaying search results within seconds.

According to SkyScanner the new service can find availability for high-demand flights, such as Liverpool to Athens for the Champions League final, and deals such as London to Dubai in July. The service also allows users to search for flights with up to three 'hops' per search.

The Multi-Hop Flight Search service is expected to increase the choice of destinations from regional airports and add further options for those travelling from major airports, who are generally offered a choice of long-haul routes from scheduled airlines.
