ATA forecasts busy Memorial Day and summer travel

The US Air Transport Association (ATA) has released Memorial Day and summer passenger traffic forecasts.
ATA said that it forecasts a record number of passengers to be travelling both over the Memorial Day period and during the summer months (1 June through to 31 August).
ATA expects 21.4m passengers to travel on US airlines during the ten-day Memorial Day period of 21-30 May. This is an estimated increase of 3.3% compared to the same ten-day period last year.
ATA's summer traffic forecast anticipates approximately 209m passengers, which is an increase of 3.0% compared to the same three-month period in 2006.
