Continental commends decision to add capacity in US airspace

Yesterday (15 November) Larry Kellner, Continental Airlines' (NYSE: CAL) chairman and CEO, said the airline commends the decision by President Bush and Department of Transportation (DOT) Secretary Mary Peters for travel plans for the holiday period.

Kellner said that he would like to express his thanks "to Secretary Peters and her staff at DOT for their efforts in establishing a plan that will offer the travelling public an improved travel experience during the holiday season".

Continental also commends the implementation of important capacity improvements in New York/New Jersey, including setting aside military airspace.
