Air France KLM reports higher than expected quarterly profit

Yesterday (22 November) Air France KLM reported a quarterly profit above expected with a 28% increase.
The airline reported that its profits were due to strong demand, especially on longer routes, and fuel surcharges and hedging.
Air France KLM reported an operating profit increase to EUR725m for the three months to the end of September, while its revenues were EUR6.489bn, an increase of 5.8%.
Analysts had forecast operating profits averaging at EUR659m. The revenues were about what had been estimated, according to Reuters estimates.
