UK-based airline bmi has said that on 28 October it will launch 17 new destinations from its hub at London's Heathrow Airport.
The carrier also said that it has teamed with Star Alliance partner United Airlines to offer members of United's Mileage Plus frequent flyer programme double miles when flying to these new destinations in order to celebrate the event.
To qualify, passengers must be a member of Mileage Plus and all flight miles must be earned in United's frequent flyer programme between the United States and Heathrow by flying United with continuing segments on bmi-operated flights from Heathrow to one of the 17 new destinations.
