Boingo acquires seven airport Wi-Fi networks from Sprint

Boingo Wireless Inc, a provider of access to Wi-Fi hotspots, has acquired seven airport Wi-Fi networks from Sprint (NYSE: S).
Boingo also said operations in all seven airports have been successfully converted to Boingo hotspots, while Sprint customers will retain Wi-Fi access in the seven airports and will also gain access to 16 additional airports where Boingo provides Wi-Fi services directly.
The two companies have also entered into a roaming agreement, which will provide Sprint customers access to Boingo's global hotspot network.
According to Boingo, the acquisition has increased the number of airport networks operated by Boingo and its Concourse subsidiary from 16 to 23, covering 37% of passenger enplanements in the top 100 North American airports. The new airports include Houston William P Hobby (HOU), Houston George Bush Intercontinental (IAH), Memphis International (MEM), Milwaukee General Mitchell International (MKE), Oakland International (OAK), Louisville International-Standifer Field (SDF), and Salt Lake City International (SLC).
No financial details have been disclosed.
