Jetstream 41 acquired from BAE by Highland Airways

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
A 29-seat Jetstream 41 regional turboprop aircraft has been sold by BAE Systems Regional Aircraft to Inverness-based Highland Airways.
The company said that the aircraft was delivered to the carrier in late March for customisation, with its entry into service being planned for early summer.
The airline currently flies five 19-seat Jetstream 31s and a number of smaller Cessna light transports, as well as two Jetstream 31s on dedicated corporate shuttle work.
Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.
