Finnair Plc reports passenger numbers up in February 2008

Finnish airline Finnair Plc (OMX Helsinki: FIA1S) reported on Thursday (10 April) that the group carried 744,216 passengers in March 2008, up by 1.2% from March 2007.

The traffic performance of Finnair Group airlines increased by 15.0% in March, while the capacity grew 18.2%. This resulted in a passenger load factor of 76.4%, 2.2 points lower than last year.

Finnair scheduled traffic increased by 13.7%, as compared to March 2007. Total passenger load factor in scheduled traffic was 71.8%, down by 3.3 percentage points. Number of passengers carried was 619,442, down 1.5%.
