WorldTraveler, the in-flight magazine of Northwest Airlines (NYSE:NWA), is now available in digital format, online, at http://www.digitalnwaworldtraveler.com.

The airline said WorldTraveler, in collaboration with its publishing company MSP Custom Communications, becomes the first in-flight magazine to move to a true digital format. It claimed the magazine will now be more widely available to the public, extending it beyond the existing 2m monthly readers and allowing users to view content from their computer.

The digital version includes all content available in the conventional magazine, with links to the airline's flight search tool and destination guides, allowing users to search for content, access previous issues and magnify features for easy reading.

According to Northwest Airlines, the new format enables it to customise offers and aim them at the individual reader, depending on where the customer is travelling from and to, making it suitable for targeted marketing.

The airline is giving online readers of the April issue the chance to take a 'tour' of the baseball stadiums in the Heartland, view the sights of Seattle, obtain travel and dining tips and enter a competition to win a trip to Paris.
