Babcock & Brown delivers aircraft to Transavia.com and extends leases with SAS and Czech Airlines

Commercial aircraft lessor Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management LLC (Babcock) has revealed that it has delivered an aircraft to an airline and extended leases with two other airlines.

Babcock said it has extended the leases of five Boeing B737-600s (MSNs 28292, 28293, 28294, 28298 and 28299) with Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), based in Sweden, for three years each, starting from February 2008. The aircraft are powered by CFM56-7B20 engines.

The company has also extended the leases of two Boeing B737-400s with Czech Airlines, based in the Czech Republic, for five years each, from February 2008. The aircraft (MSNs 25839 and 25349) are powered by CFM56-3C1 engines.

In addition, Babcock confirmed France-based Transavia.com took delivery last month of a Boeing B737-800 with a six year lease term. The MSN 29651 aircraft is powered by CFM56-7B24 engines.
