Top performance awards for suppliers announced by Boeing

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Aircraft manufacturer the Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) has announced that it has recognised its top 11 suppliers for their commitment to superior performance and customer satisfaction as part of its 2007 Suppliers of the Year awards.

The company said that the winners were selected from a pool of 250 Boeing Performance Excellence Award winners. These companies hold 2007 Boeing Performance Excellence Awards for achieving silver or gold levels of performance, based on quality and delivery metrics over a 12-month period.

Winners of the awards included HITCO Carbon Composites Inc in the category of Major Structures; Aerojet in the Propulsion category; M. C. Gill Corp for Common Aerospace Commodities; JWD Machine Inc for Purchased Outside Production; Watson's Profiling Corp for Aerospace Support; and Valiant Machine & Tool Inc for Non-Production/Shared Services Group.
