Hawaii's go! airlines, an inter-island carrier run by Mesa Air Group, has announced that it has sacked two pilots who overshot a runway when trying to land.
According to The Associated Press, the aircraft, which was carrying 40 passengers, went off course on 13 February during a flight from Honolulu to Hilo and air traffic controllers were unable to contact the cockpit for 25 minutes.
The aircraft eventually made a safe landing in Hilo.
The identities of the pilots have not been disclosed by the carrier.
