Air Canada has announced the launch of 'On My Way', a comprehensive travel assistance service for customers affected by flight delays or travel disruptions that are out of the control of airlines.

The airline said that the service offers customers phone access to trained Air Canada customer service agents who can provide travel and accommodation options for passengers affected by factors including adverse weather conditions or airport and air traffic delays.

The new service will enable agents to find alternative travel for customers on Air Canada or other airlines and, if necessary, the carrier will also offer complimentary hotel accommodations and meals.

On My Way is an optional assistance service and is offered for USD25 (CAD25) for short-haul flights or USD35 (CAD35) for long haul flights, each way.
