Pratt & Whitney awarded contract by Korean Air Force

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Manufacturer and designer of aircraft engines Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX), announced on Tuesday (29 April) that the company has been awarded a contract by the Republic of Korea Air Force.
Under the contract Pratt & Whitney will provide engines to power new F-15K fighter jets for the Korean Air Force.
Pratt & Whitney will provide engine kits to Samsung Techwin for local assembly under the terms of the contract.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
