Officials at Houston Airport, USA, are due to announce that USD1.2bn will be spent by the city and Continental Airlines over the next seven to ten years to almost quintuple the size of Terminal B.
The terminal, which mostly handles domestic flights for Continental Airlines, will increase from the current 360,000 square feet to 1.7m square feet. The airline, which is the airport's largest tenant, will reportedly part fund the project and occupy much of the increased space for domestic and international flights.
As an addition part of the project, USA Today reported that the rail system will be lengthened in order to cover all five terminals and parking will be expanded.
