Airline Industry Information,  April 9, 2008

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A new VIP lounge has been opened at Guarulhos International Airport (Sao Paulo), Brazil, by TAM Linhas Aereas, for first class passengers flying to New York, Paris, London and Milan, designed by Aline Cobra and open daily from 06:00 to noon and from 16:00 to 23:30, located in the restricted area of Terminal 1, Wing B and covering 130 square metres.

TAM said it is the only airline in Brazil to offer such a service, with staff trained in special procedures for first class passengers for check-in and ticket scanning.

The new VIP lounge provides access to laptops with free broadband and wireless Internet for passengers and will include a selection of newspapers and magazines, LCD TV, a TAM mini-library with books and items from company collections and nightly piano performances.

According to TAM, passengers can place a request with the hospitality team when using the rest-room, in order to benefit from a bathrobe, heated towels and Loccitane toiletries.

The lounge provides a full buffet with snacks, fruit and cold cuts, along with menus prepared by French chef Yann Corderon for each meal of the day. This is accompanied by champagnes, wines, cocktails, liqueurs and brandies hand chosen by wine steward Arthur Azevedo, president of the Brazilian Association of Wine Stewards - Sao Paulo and wine list consultant for TAM's international flights.
