American Airlines to add three new Brazilian destinations

American Airlines Inc, a subsidiary of AMR Corp, announced on 18 August that it will add three new destinations in Brazil to its route network.

New services will operate from Miami to Belo Horizonte, Salvador de Bahia and Recife from 2 November.

The non-stop flights to Belo Horizonte will operate three days a week. Flights to Salvador de Bahia will operate daily and will continue on to Recife, with the return service stopping again at Salvador de Bahia.

American Airlines will fly these new routes using widebody Boeing 767-300 aircraft configured with 30 seats in Business Class and 195 seats in the main cabin.

American's existing services to Brazil include flights to Sao Paulo from Miami, Dallas/Fort Worth and New York JFK, and to Rio de Janeiro from Miami. American also operates one-stop service to Rio de Janeiro from New York JFK.
