Continental Airlines implements new source code access software from Dynamsoft

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Dynamsoft Corporation announced on 19 August that Continental Airlines has implemented Dynamsoft's SourceAnywhere for VSS add-on tool for Microsoft Visual SourceSafe.
The tool is used to provide the airline's software development team with remote access to the company's data centre in Houston where all the source code is stored. The inbuilt HTTP access protocol in Visual SourceSafe is not optimised for remote access and the TCP/IP methods used by SourceAnywhere are reportedly up to 7 times faster.
SourceAnywhere for VSS offers remote access to code repositories over TCP/IP combined with security, multi-platform support and integration with several integrated development environments.
