Nonstop service from Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis/St. Paul hubs announced by Northwest Airlines

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Northwest Airlines (NYSE: NWA) has announced that it is to launch five new daily nonstop routes from its Detroit, Memphis and Minneapolis/ St. Paul hubs, effective 2 May 2008.
The carrier will run a service from its Detroit WorldGateway to Wichita, Kansas, operated by Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines using 50-seat Bombardier CRJ 200 aircraft, as well as a nonstop service from its Memphis to Norfolk, VA.
In addition Northwest will also offer seasonal Memphis-San Diego nonstop service between May 2 and 18 August 2008, as well as a daily nonstop service between its Minneapolis/St. Paul hub and Greenville/Spartanburg, S.C.
A route between Minneapolis/St. Paul to Ottawa, Canada will also be launched by the airline on 2 May, operated by Pinnacle Airlines using 50-seat CRJ 200 aircraft.
