TSA names Barbara Powell as federal security director at Newark Liberty International Airport

Barbara Powell has been named as federal security director (FSD) for Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), overseeing all security operations at the airport.
Most recently Powell served as acting FSD and as the deputy FSD at the airport. She joined Newark TSA in August 2002 as the supervisory attorney.
Prior to joining the TSA she was field counsel for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' New York Field Division.
