Combined January traffic for SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines announced by SkyWest Inc

SkyWest Inc (Nasdaq: SKYW) has announced its January traffic for SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines.

The airlines reported a 3.4% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for January, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 5.1% as compared to the same period last year.

In addition the combined airlines generated 1.31bn RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 1.84bn.

The company said that load factor decreased by 1.2 percentage points to 71.0% as compared to 72.2% for the same period last year, whilst passenger boardings for January totalled 2,525,151, showing a 1.6% increase over January 2007.
