Aircraft collide at Reagan National Airport

Two aircraft operated by US Airways collided on Sunday morning (17 February) at Reagan National Airport.

The two aircraft reportedly clipped wings and, as a result, 63 passengers were removed from the flights.

According to The Associated Press, the incident involved an Airbus A319 on its way to LaGuardia Airport in New York and a regional jet travelling to Rochester, New York.

One passenger was taking to hospital as a result of the incident, which the National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
