Aircraft manufacturer Boeing (NYSE: BA) has announced that final assembly has commenced on the second flight-test aircraft for the new 787 Dreamliner.

The aircraft has reportedly been loaded into the first position of the 787 production system, enabling workers at the facility in Everett, Washington to join together the aircraft's fuselage sections and wings.

The company said that the aircraft is the second of six flight-test models but is the fourth on the production line, following two aircraft that will be used for static and fatigue testing.
