Boeing announces 737 order from Lion Air

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Aircraft manufacturer the Boeing Company (NYSE: BA) has announced that it has received an order from Jakarta-based Lion Air for 56 Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) aircraft.
The order is valued in excess of USD4.4bn at current list prices, and brings Lion Air's combined orders for the 737-900ER to 178.
In addition the airline has acquired purchase rights for an additional 50 737-900ERs.
