2007 passenger figures announced for Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport in Ireland has announced its passenger figures for 2007.
The airport said that the number of passengers using the airport in 2007 increased to 23m, showing an increase of 10% as compared to the prior year. The increase reportedly represents an average of 5,700 extra passengers per day.
According to The Irish Times, the number of passengers travelling to destinations in Europe grew by 18% to nearly 12m, whilst a total of 1.6m passengers travelled to the US, showing an increase of 11% as compared to 2006.
In addition an increase of under 1% in the number of UK bound passengers was recorded, whilst a 17% increase to destinations in the Middle East and Africa was noted.
