Additional fingerprints are being collected from international visitors arriving at Boston Logan International Airport, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has revealed.

The DHS said that the change is part of its upgrade from two- to 10-fingerprint collection, in order to enhance security and facilitate legitimate travel.

Biometrics, digital fingerprints and a photograph, have been collected from all non-US citizens between the ages of 14 and 79 at the airport for more than four years.
