Fog at NSCBI Airport delays flights

Flights were delayed on Monday morning (28 January) at NSCBI Airport in India due to thick fog affecting visibility on the runway.
The fog disrupted 25 flights that were due to take off from the airport and another 22 incoming flights, affecting approximately 800 travellers.
According to The Times of India, the most badly affected flights were bound for Port Blair, Raipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Guwahati, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Indore.
The fog reportedly hit the airport at approximately 06:00 on Monday, with flights being suspended by around 07:40. Normal operations were resumed at approximately 08:15.
