Copa Holdings releases June traffic figures

Copa Holdings SA (NYSE:CPA), a Latin American provider of passenger and cargo services, has announced traffic statistics for June 2008. The company has included figures for its subsidiaries Copa Airlines and Aero Republica.

Copa Holdings' consolidated revenue passenger miles for June 2008 grew by 20.8% from the same period last year, while available seat miles increased by 20.8%. Load factor showed a year-on-year rise of 3.7 percentage points to 76.5%.

Revenue passenger miles for Copa Airlines increased by 24.8% and available seat miles grew by 21.0% compared to June of last year. Load factor for June 2008 was 80.4%, a rise of 2.5 percentage points from June 2007.

Aero Republica's revenue passenger miles showed a year-on-year increase of 1.0%, while available seat miles dropped by 6.1%. Load factor for June 2008 was 59.2%, a 4.2 percentage points increase from June 2007.
