Air Canada and Continental Airlines reach agreement

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Air Canada has reported that it has reached an agreement in principle with Continental Airlines.
The airlines intend that the agreement will provide customers with access to a broader network, more efficient services and expanded frequent flyer benefits.
Both airlines are planning to offer coordinated services and improved product offerings through agreements relating to codeshare, frequent flyer and lounge access, although this will be subject to receiving regulatory approval.
