NTSB sends team to assist in investigating Qantas accident

The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced on Friday (25 July) that it plans to send a team of investigators to the Philippines to help investigate the Qantas accident.
A Qantas aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in the Philippines on Friday (25 July) after a hole in the fuselage resulted in a loss of cabin pressure.
According to the NTSB, the US team of investigators will include a technical specialist in airworthiness and technical advisors from Boeing and the US Federal Aviation Administration. Joe Sedor, a senior air investigator, has been appointed as US Accredited Representative by the NTSB chairman, Mark V Rosenker.
