AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air have entered into a partnership with Korean Air.

The deal involves a codeshare agreement and expanded frequent flyer partnership, meaning that customers will be able to earn and redeem miles for either Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan or Korean Air's SKYPASS.

The codeshare agreement will enable customers travelling from the Pacific Northwest or California to Asia to use Korea Air's network, which will mean only one ticket will need to be purchased for such journeys and baggage checking and connections will be made easier.
