Airbus selects Rockwell Collins

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Rockwell Collins (NYSE:COL), a company specialising in the development and deployment of innovative communication and aviation electronic solutions for both commercial and government applications, has announced that it has been chosen by Airbus to supply its A350 XWB aircraft with information management and navigation capabilities.
Rockwell Collins' Communication Global Work package, Avionics Data Network, Landing Guidance Systems and Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator (THSA) are already used by Airbus for its A350 XWB.
The company will now also provide Airbus with a hosting platform for flight operations, aircraft maintenance and airline applications its Information Management Onboard solution.
Rockwell Collins has stated that it expects the total potential value of the whole programme to be around USD2.5bn.
