CAA appoints new board member

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Captain David Chapman has been appointed as a member of the board of the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) by the UK Secretary of State for Transport.
Chapman will take over from Mike Bell as group director, safety regulation on 14 November 2008.
Currently Chapman is head of the flight operations divison within the CAA's safety regulation group. He joined the CAA in 1988 and was previously a naval officer and test pilot.
