New traffic control tower at OshKosh to begin operations

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that a new traffic control tower at Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin will begin operating in summer of this year.

The new tower, which is over double the height of the previous tower, will feature four controller positions and a supervisor and is fully fire protected.

The projected cost for the total project including equipment and furnishings is around USD4m.

FAA Air Traffic Controllers and Technical Operations personnel were involved in the design process.
