Bird collision causes dent in aircraft's nose - report

A Northwest Airlines aircraft reportedly collided with a bird during a flight from Detroit to Tampa, Florida on Sunday (6 July).

The incident apparently caused a dent in the Boeing 757's nose.

The aircraft landed normally and no one on board was injured.

Northwest Airlines described the incident as a "minor maintenance issue", The Associated Press reported. The airline is still investigating the cause of the dent.
