US aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) has announced the delivery of the first 767-300 Boeing Converted Freighter to Japanese airline ANA (All Nippon Airways).

A redelivery ceremony was held in Singapore on Monday (16 June) to mark the aircraft's completion and certification.

ANA has placed orders for a total of seven passenger-to-freighter conversions under Boeing's 767-300BCF conversion programme, which was launched in 2005.

The conversion work for the 767-300BCF programme is being carried out by Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd (ST Aerospace), through its subsidiary ST Aviation Services Company (SASCO).

The work involves the removal of passenger interior equipment and furnishings, installation of the main deck surround structure and side cargo door, replacement of the main deck floor structures, installation of a 9-G rigid cargo barrier and a new cargo handling system, and a maximum take-off weight upgrade as well as other systems changes, Boeing said.
