Era and HITT to provide surveillance systems for Indian airports

Era Corporation, a supplier of surveillance and flight tracking solutions, has received a contract from Airports Authority of India to provide equipment for three airports in the country.
Era, in partnership with the Holland Institute of Traffic Technology (HITT), will provide three multilateration and ADS-B surface surveillance systems for Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, Anna International Airport in Chennai and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.
The technology will make use of Era's MSS sensors, which will be placed around each airport to provide surveillance coverage. The system will be integrated into A-SMGCS (Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control Systems) provided by HITT.
No financial details of the contract were revealed.
