LCI orders new Airbus aircraft for lease to Singapore Airlines

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Lease Corporation International (LCI), a provider of aircraft leasing services, has ordered six new Airbus A330-300s.

The aircraft will all be placed on operating leases with Singapore Airlines, LCI said.

The six aircraft, powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, are scheduled for delivery in 2009 and 2010.

The order is worth USD1.2bn at list prices.
