Airline Industry Information,  June 27, 2008

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co (NYSE: BA) has announced that Caribbean Airlines Ltd, a carrier based in Trinidad and Tobago, has joined the Boeing 737 Component Services Program (CSP), a materials management and supply-chain solution which aims to help carriers reduce costs, enhance efficiency and improve spare parts availability.

As part of the agreement Boeing will manage spare parts and components inventory for the airline until the parts are needed.

The Component Services Program is offered by Boeing in partnership with KLM Engineering and Maintenance, and guarantees that Caribbean will have working replacements for failed parts within 24 hours without having to stock-up on spares or pay long-term holding costs.
