Rob Reid retires from Air Canada

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Air Canada has announced the retirement of Rob Reid, its executive vice president and chief operating officer, with effect from 30 June 2008.

Reid joined the company in 1976 and was appointed to his most recent role in May 2005. As executive vice president and chief operating officer he held overall responsibility for Flight Operations, Flight Safety, System Operations Control, Inflight Service, Air Canada Maintenance, and Customer Service Strategy and Delivery.

No replacement for Reid has yet been named.
