February 2008 traffic figures announced by LAN Airlines

LAN Airlines S.A. (NYSE: LFL) and its related companies have announced overall preliminary monthly traffic statistics for February 2008.

The company said that system passenger traffic for the month grew by 15.8% as capacity rose 15.1%. The company's load factor was increased by 0.5 points to 81.0% as a result. In addition international passenger traffic reportedly accounted for roughly 85% of total passenger traffic.

The company also revealed that international passenger traffic for the month increased by 13.3%, whilst capacity increased 14.8%. As a result, the international passenger load factor for February fell by 1.1 points to 81.1%.
