Service between Washington, DC and Milwaukee announced by AirTran Airways

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings Inc (NYSE: AAI), has announced that it is to launch a nonstop seasonal service between Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, DC and General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

According to the airline, the US Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded the company the right to add one new daily roundtrip flight from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport beginning 3 May 2008.

The route is to be operated with the airline's Boeing 717 aircraft.
