Strike action voted for by crewmembers at Miami Air International

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
The crewmembers at Miami Air International voted 84% for strike action against Miami Air on Thursday (20 March).
A representative for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 747 stated it felt that crewmembers had not received a fair wage increase in over eight years and that the strike action is hoped to bring to a close the 18 months of negotiations to gain an equitable contract for the workers.
No further details of the date and duration of the action were available.
