The Air Transport Association names AirTran Airways as its newest member

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings Inc (NYSE: AAI), has announced that with effect from 1 April it is to become the 19th carrier to join the Air Transport Association of America (ATA), an industry trade organisation representing US airlines.
The airline said that, in addition to membership in the ATA, it also retains its membership in the Air Carrier Association of American (ACAA) as a founding member of the organisation.
