LAN Airlines reports April traffic statistics

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Traffic statistics for April 2008 have been issued by Chile-based LAN Airlines S.A. and its related companies (NYSE:LFL) (IPSA:LAN).
The airline group saw a 7.8% increase in system-wide passenger traffic, while its capacity was 6.2% greater than in April last year. As a result the load factor increased by 1.1 percentage points to 72.2%.
LAN said that international passenger traffic accounted for approximately 87% of the group's total passenger traffic.
