Korean Air cuts routes following fuel price rises

South Korean-based Korean Air today (26 May) said that in order to combat rising fuel prices it will be cutting some passenger flights from June to mid-July, as well as adjusting routes based on demand and earnings.

Flights on 12 routes are to be cut, along with the suspension of five routes and changes to four other routes.

According to news agency Reuters, fuel prices have jumped 57% so far this year.
