AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Aircraft manufacturer Boeing (NYSE:BA) has announced that last week it delivered Europe's first two Next-Generation 737-900ER (Extended Range) aircraft.

The deliveries were made to GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) for lease to Spanish carrier Futura International Airways, which is based in Palma de Mallorca.

The 737-900ER, which is part of the Next-Generation 737 aircraft family, reportedly increases the capability of the 737 by carrying more passengers and flying further distances.
