Zagat Survey has reported the results of its most recent Airlines Survey, which is based on information from 9,950 frequent flyers and travel professionals, who have rated 85 major world airlines and 27 domestic US airports. Each airline was rated separately on its premium and economy service for both domestic and international flights.

Average ratings, factoring in comfort, service and food scores, increased slightly for both domestic and international services. The average score for international flights was higher than for domestic flights.

The large domestic airline with the highest score for premium class was Continental Airlines, while JetBlue Airways was rated highest for economy class. For mid-sized domestic airlines Virgin America was ranked first for premium, while Midwest was rated highest for economy class. For international airlines, the highest rated was Singapore Airlines for both economy and premium class.
