Delta Air Lines announces changes to structure of SkyMiles programme

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has announced that members of its SkyMiles programme will now be offered greater flexibility and more options when redeeming miles for Award Travel.

The airline is launching a new three-tiered Award structure which enables customers to combine dates and Economy, First and BusinessElite cabin seating at a range of mileage levels redeeming miles for travel to destinations worldwide.

SkyMiles members will also be able to book the last seat on a flight.

For round-trip flights, tiers start at 25,000, 40,000 and 60,000 miles as opposed to 25,000 and 50,000 miles.
