JetBlue expands Caribbean service from Florida

JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) have announced a new daily nonstop service from Orlando International Airport to Nassau, along with a twice daily service from Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport to Nassau.

The airline stated that the new flights will start on 1 February 2009, pending receipt of operating authority from the government.

The Florida to Nassau flights will be operated on JetBlue's new EMBRAER 190 aircraft, a fuel efficient jet which can seat 100 passengers.
